Toll systems in KL Malaysia, There are 182 toll plazas in Malaysia. There are three types of the electronic toll collection (ETC) systems, Touch ‘n Go card unit, Smart TAG on board unit and RFID tag.
How to pay for Malaysian Tolls?
There are two methods to pay Toll:
- Tag (SmartTAG)
SmartTAG (acronym in Malay for Sistem Membayar Automatik Rangkaian Tol) is a device set up on vehicles used as an automated toll collection (ETC) system viable up to 15 meters of distance to complement Touch ‘n Go.
- Prepaid card (Touch ‘n Go)
Touch ‘n Go is an RFID-based solution that deducts tolls directly from an e-wallet of a user. It also rewards its users with cashback and rewards.
