1. Kanching Rainforest Waterfall

Less than an hour’s drive from the city, Kanching’s rich and lush forest reserve features a series of waterfalls that tumble into swimmable pools.  There are toilet and changing facilities by some of the pools and the forest reserve has numerous picnic spots. Camping facilities are available for those who want to spend the night. A very popular spot amongst photographers, you can also test your skills clicking fast moving water

2. Chiling Waterfalls

Chiling Waterfall is one of the most wonderful and impressive waterfalls in Selangor. The waterfalls and river are also the site of the Mahseer Fish Sanctuary managed by the Selangor Fisheries Department and Selangor Forestry Department. It helps to enjoy the adventurous trek near the last leg of the journey that leads to the graceful falls.

3. Sungai Pisang Waterfall

This hike takes you through the lush forest near the Batu Caves. As you walk the trail, you’ll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, with the gentle flow of the river and chirping birds creating a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The highlight of the hike is the attractive Banana Falls, where you can cool off and take a refreshing swim in the clear water. Enjoy your time here amid lush green forests, tunnels, and rivers, all of which lead to the waterfall.

4. Bukit Saga Waterfall

At the top of the hill, visitors can enjoy many facilities, such as a playground, an exercise corner, a hammock, a covered lounge, and a dressing room. These amenities offer a comfortable resting place for hikers to catch their breath, relax, and take in the beautiful surroundings.

Note: It’s important to note that a permit is required to hike to Bukit Saga Waterfall, and visitors can obtain more information about permits at https://forestry.selangor.gov.my/.

5. Sungai Gabai Waterfall

Get adventurous and enjoy your uphill trek that requires you to climb over 300 steps from the lower level right up to the waterfall. At the top is a cooling reward where another layer and pool awaits. A flight of concrete steps begins here. They are well made steps with non-slip edging and a hand rail. Altogether there are 333 steps if you want to go all the way up.

6. Lata Medang

This is a very popular area for camping and hiking, so you’ll likely encounter other people while exploring. 7. Sungai Tekala Waterfall

It is located 43 km from Kuala Lumpur City in the Hulu Langat area close to Semenyih Dam. It forms part of the Sungai Lalang Forest Reserve which in turn is part of State Park Forest, also known as Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor. The river is mostly shallow and safe for supervised children. The water was looking very clean.

8. Serendah Waterfall

You get to enjoy the waterfalls with all the conveniences close by. This is handy especially if you are bringing your young children or elderly parents along for the trip. There are parking facilities and the waterfalls are just a short walk away from the entrance so you don?t have to hike very far into the jungle. This is also a good place for a picnic with the family or with friends.
