How to Pay Property Tax Online and Direct?
MyTax Portal (https://mytax.hasil.gov.my) through ‘ezHasil Services’ > ‘ByrHASiL’ Internet banking portal of any commercial banks which have been allowed to accept direct tax payment. The service counter of Commercial Banks and Post Office which have been appointed as IRBM (The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia) collection agent. There are two options to pay Property tax.
1. Payment through Online
Most municipal bodies have a specific method to pay the property tax online on their portal. There may, however, be certain exceptions to it as some municipalities may not allow online payment for the property tax. Follow the steps below to pay your house tax online
- Visit the official website https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/ of your local municipality
- If you have not registered on the portal yet, then register first and then log in to the portal
- Click on the tab, ‘Property Tax’
- Choose your property type and the assessment year
- Fill in other details such as the owner’s name, property identification number and other relevant information
- Check the property amount, choose the mode of payment and complete your payment
- Download or print the challan for reference
Income Tax, Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) and Monthly Tax Deduction (MTD) can be paid through electronic banking channels of various commercial banks which have been appointed as direct tax collection agent:

Note: The Bank-In Slip provided at the bank counter must be completed for payment purposes and the copy must be kept as proof of payment. IRBM (The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia) will not issue payment receipts for payment made at the bank.
