1. Passport

To travel to the Czech Republic / Schengen Area, the passport must

  • Have been issued in the past ten years
  • Valid at least three months after the intended departure from the Czech Republic / Schengen Area
  • Contain at least two empty pages
  • It contains incorrect entries or unauthorized changes
  • Photograph no longer confirms to the current appearance of the holder

For Childrens:

  • Children older than 15 must apply with their own passport.
  • Children younger than 15 can be entered into the passport of the parent / legal guardian.
  • Parents / legal guardians submit visa applications on behalf of these children.
  • Two (or more) visa stickers are subsequently issued into a passport.
  • If the child is entered in the passport of the parent / legal guardian, but will travel by himself/herself, he/she needs to apply with own passport.

2. Photo

The photo have following requirements:

  • Size 35 x 45 mm
  • Current appearance
  • Full face view
  • Height from the eyes to the bottom of the chin at least 13 mm
  • Civil attire, no sunglasses (except for the blind)
  • No head cover (except for religious or health reasons – in such cases the head cover must not prevent applicant´s identification)

3. Time period of taking visa

Within 15 days of application

The review period can be extended in individual specific cases to 45 calendar days
