In case of loss of any personal documents (passports, ID cards), the citizen must file an application in the nearest police station, and call the embassy for assistance.

1. Issuance of passport

Citizens sent for medical or study in foreign, as for nationals residing outside the State, prior approval is required. Incase of lost or damaged passport and expiry passport the embassy provides new passport with proper documents.

Requirements for passport

  • Apply the form for a new passport and sign by the concerned person the form should stamped and signed by the executive consular.
  • Attached the original passport.
  • Attach 2 passport size photos with the back ground of grey with photo size should be (4.8X 3.5)

Service fees:

100 QR for expired passports

400 QR for damaged/lost passports

2. Issuance of passage permits to return to Qatar

  • The Quatar mission abroad contacts the nationality and passport department in the ministry of interior, and after a receiving a response a transit permit is issued with a note of approval.
  • The permits valid for three months from the date of issuance.
  • The permits valid for only one entry to the state of Quatar.

Requirements for permits

  • Register the loss of passport at the nearest police station abroad.
  • Copy of the passport or identity card showing the national number.
  • 2 Personal photos.

Service fees: 50 Qatari riyals

3. Issuance of passage permits for newly- born babies.

  • The Qatari mission abroad addresses the department of nationality and passports in the Ministry of Interior, after receiving the reply, a passage permit will be issued with an approval reference.
  • Passage permits are valid for three months from the date of issuance.
  • Passage permits are valid for only one entry and to the State of Qatar only.

Terms and requirements:

  • Copy of the passport or identity card of the parents showing the ID number.
  • (2) Personal photos.
  • Copy of the birth certificate attested by the official authorities and by the Mission.

Service fees: 20 Qatari riyals

4. Issuance of official authorization

Services for Qatari citizens living abroad permanently or temporarily

Procedure:

  • The citizen must personally attend the consular office.
  • Print the acknowledgement information on the assignments cover letter.

Requirements:

  • After confirming the validity of the information and confirming that the applicant of sound of mind an authorization application should be submitted to the head of mission.
  • The elderly and those with special need are exclude from appearing before the task and instead meets them complete the task.
  • A copy of the passport or identity card showing the numbers should be attached with the application.

Service fees: 20 Qatari Riyals.

5. Issuance of “to whom it may concern” certificate.

The services for medical, study and other purposes.

Procedures:

The Qatari citizen fills an application requesting the issuance of such certificate, addressed to the Head of Mission stating the reasons for residing outside the country.

Terms and requirements:

  1. A copy of the passport or identity card should be attached with the application.
  2. Provide a prove for residing outside the country, in case of travelling for medical treatment or study.

Service fees: 20 Qatari riyals

6. Transport of dead body

The service for Quatari citizens those who died outside the state of Quatar

Procedures:

  • Relative of the deceased should notify the mission of the State of Qatar on the death of the citizen.
  • The mission will take necessary actions to transport the body to the State of Qatar.
  • Original passport and validated documents relating to his death should be submitted to the mission.
  • Notify the Department of Consular Affairs about the Date and time of sending the body to make arrangement with the airport.

Requirements

  • The mission is to send by mail documents related to the deceased consisting of:
  • A copy of the passport.
  • A copy of the death certificate.
  • A copy of the post-mortem report (and any other documents).

1. Business visa

The service also includes issuing business visas to businessman and known in business figures to visit Quatar to promote investment relations between their countries and the state of Quatar.

Requirements

  • If the businessmen are not known to be business person, they must provide the work with evidence proving that they are businessmen.
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities within (24) hours of data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa can be extended for maximum three months.

Visa fees: 200 QR.

2. Visit visa

This visa only for tourists. A visit visa is granted to tourists to visit Quatar and explore its monument of historical, commercial, architectural, and cultural value.

Requirements:

  • Applicants should provide a bank statement for the previous three months, showing a minimum balance of 5,000 QR, financially capable applicants known by the mission, are exempted from this condition.
  • It is recommended to have a hotel reservation in the state of Qatar in a four or five star hotel.
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities within (24) hours of data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa cannot be extended.

Visa fees: 200 QR

3. GCC ( Gulf Corporation Council) Resident Visit Visa

 The Service is to provide GCC residents with approved professions a visit visa to enter Qatar.

Terms and requirements:

  • Applicants should provide a GCC resident ship valid for six months ( three months minimum) .
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit –along with the application- applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities immediately after data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa can be extended for a period of three months

4. Entry visa for companions of GCC Nationals

This services provided by Companions of GCC citizens such as maids, drivers and baby-sitters with sponsors.

Requirements:

  • Applicants should provide a GCC citizenship valid for six months (three months minimum) for the companions of GCC citizens such as maids, drivers and baby-sitters (under the sponsorship of the gulf citizen) .
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit along with the application applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the candidate.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities immediately after data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for three months from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.
  • The visa holder can stay in the country for a period of one month from the date of entry.
  • This visa can be extended for a similar period (three months maximum).

5. Transits visa

This services offer for travellers those who are planning to stop in Quatar en route to third place.

Requirements:

  • This Visa doesn’t apply for travellers passing through Qatar, these passing through travellers not require a visa and will be allowed to enter the country if their transit time is more than six hours, with a commitment from the airlines company.
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit along with the application applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos.
  • The visa is issued for all nationalities immediately after data entry in the automated system.
  • The visa is valid for one month from the date of issuance, the visa holder should enter the country before the end of the validity period.

6. Joint tourist visa

This visa provided by 33 approved countries with entry visa to visit first Quatar and then visit Oman.

Requirements of taking visa

  • Applicant should provide last three month bank statement minimum balance of 5000 QR.
  • Submit the visa application attaching all important documents.
  • Submit the passport valid less than six months.
  • Two photos.
  • The visa valid for one month from date of issuance.
  • The visa holder can stay only one month of date of entry.
  • This visa cannot be extended.

Visa fee: 100 QR

7. Immediate tourist visa

This visa permits Turkey, Poland, Hungary and Cyprus to enter state of Quatar.

Requirements of visa

  • Applicant should provide last three month bank statement minimum balance of 5000 QR.
  • Submit the visa application attaching all important documents.
  • Submit the passport valid less than six months.
  • Two photos.
  • The visa valid for one month from date of issuance.
  • The visa holder can stay only one month of date of entry.
  • This visa cannot be extended.

Visa fees: 100 QR

8. Visit visa

This visa applicable for all nationalities except GCC citizens to enter state of Quatar.

Requirements of taking visa

  • Submit the passport valid for less than six month.
  • Two photos
  • Visa valid for three months of date of issuance.
  • The visa holder can stay one month period from the date of entry.
  • The visa can be extended for six month.

Visa fees: 200 QR

9. Re-issuing visa

This visa permits individuals who previously obtained an electronic visa through the General Directorate of Borders, Passports and Foreign Affairs to be given a new visa to enter the country.

Requirements

  • Some individuals who previously got an electronic visa through the General Directorate of Borders, Passports and Foreign Affairs might have to visit Qatari Embassies or consulates abroad to stamp the visa on their passports
  • Submit visa application attaching all required documents.
  • Submit applicant passport valid for not less than six months.
  • Two photos of the applicant.
  • Re-issuance of official visa is exempted.
